Carbon Saving Programme, Local Service Board

Purpose: Pilot programme to deliver community and third sector participation in the Local Authority Community Strategy, specifically in relation to Carbon Reduction and Management

Results: Reduced carbon footprint of voluntary sector in Gwynedd, and development of potential for inter-sector working.

Consultancy: Consultancy, networking, facilitation, planning and formation of pilot project

Funding: EU Grant, Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), Local Authority

Mantell Gwynedd, the voluntary sector for Gwynedd, North Wales

Purpose: To scope the strategy for “the Empowerment of the Third Sector via the social enterprise model”

Results: ongoing project

Consultancy: Consultancy, forming business models, marketing

Funding: EU Grant, Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), corporate sponsorship

NWWSP Consultation for the regional North West
Wales Spatial Development Plan

Purpose: Consultation for the NW Wales Spatial Development Plan, recently adopted at WAG plenary

Results: Sustainability of plan reinforced via challenge to SA/SEA process

Funding: Private investment

Partners: SGG, Cynnal Cymru, yn ein Blaenau, Mantell Gwynedd

Status: COMPLETED (further funding to compile report on procedures and monitoring schedule required)

Wales Coastal tourism strategy

Purpose: To provide consultancy for facilitating merge of Abersoch Tourist Information Centre and Llyn Tourism Association into “Abersoch and the Llyn” Regional Tourism Partnership. Source funding and provide a 20 year business plan based upon sustainable principles

The Woodlands for Wales strategy

Purpose: To provide consultation on community integration into the strategy

Heritage Skills group

Purpose: To act as consultant to appraise the sustainability of an inter-regional strategy of heritage construction. Additionally to work for the preservation of local vernacular architecture

Purpose: To empowering local communities to realise local land for sustainable enterprises

Event services

Purpose: Private enterprise to network together regional event companies and stakeholders to establish a sustainable resource management plan. Including site allocations and travel plans.

Purpose: To aid the embedding of principles of science and sustainability into European citizens

Community climate change conference

Purpose: Enable community groups to engage with their volunteers effectively

Consultancy: Booked to run 'getting people on board workshop', Information and mentoring provided on viral marketing and social enterprise models, and employment of transparent practices
